Perennial ryegrass, hybrid ryegrass and timothy maintain their leaf quality and palatability through mid and late season production so are the perfect partners to the aggressive growth habit of red clover. The high yield and fast recovery of hybrid ryegrass is complimented well by the high protein and rapid regrowth of red clover whilst the perennial ryegrass and timothy promote good ground cover and also encourage more upright growth of the red clover. Together, this mixture will produce high yields with good digestability for the full 3 year term of the ley.
