For rapid repairs to hard working lawns, banks and verges this grass seed mixture provides the quick growing grasses that will knit a damaged or worn surface back together producing a hardwearing turf better and stronger than before. It is important to create some tilth (loose soil) before overseeding the grass seed by vigorously raking over the entire area to be treated. Broadcast the seeds at the recommended rate over the loose soil. Gently rake over the area to mix the grass seeds and soil together a little then firm down again by rolling or treading in. This not only puts the grass seed into good contact with soil moisture but also stops the seeds from floating away during heavy rainfall.
This lawn seed mixture can be used over an entire lawn, particularly after spring and autumn moss or thatch removal (ref: above picture) or after general scarifying. Regular overseeding of lawn seed minimises space for weed invasion and encourages an even, dense turf with good all year round colour.
