Additional Information:
The blend of Italian
Ryegrass, Red Clover and
deep rooting Cocksfoot is the ultimate mixture for soil improvement. This combination
produces a large amount of both nitrogen rich leaf matter and vast, fibrous root mass to increase
soil fertility and improve soil structure. Evenly sow on to a fine, well prepared
seedbed. Lightly rake over (whilst being very carful not to bury the seeds more
than 5- 10mm) and firm the ground afterwards to insure good seed to soil contact. The
crop will require at least 10 months plus growth to be an effective soil conditioner
and will remain productive for 2 years.
During this time the plants
may be regularly cut and mulched on the surface or cut and removed to a compost
heap as high nitrogen green leaf matter.
