Description

This ryegrass based, super durable, fast growing lawn seed mixture is a proven blend of Perennial Ryegrass, Annual Ryegrass and Fescue cultivars designed specifically to establish quickly then stand up better against the wear and tear of repetitive use which would usually cause serious long lasting damage to a lesser turf. Ideal for Back Gardens, Children’s Play Areas, Dog Runs etc and suitable for all soil types. The purpose of including annual ryegrass seed is to maximise the speed of germination and establishment which is ideal for weed suppresion and an earlier full looking turf. As the Annual Ryegrass dies away in year two the Perennial Ryegrass and Fescue migrate into any open ground left during the transition.
Our FAST GROWING LAWN SEED mixture is fast growing, quick to establish, easy to maintain and, whilst not completely indistructable, has excellent self repair properties making it the best choice for a hard working garden lawn or any grass area enduring repetitive foot traffic from ball sports or surface scuffing caused by the riding of push bikes etc. This product is purposely blended to form a dense, closely knitted and very durable lawn capable of robust self repair via it’s quick recovery time by lateral re-growth into worn or damaged areas.

What else makes this fast growing lawn seed mixture successful is that the Perennial Ryegrass content responds very well to applications of spring, summer or autumn fertiliser. If an established area is being subjected to higher than usual wear and tear a good feed of a general purpose compound fertiliser can help increase the speed of the self repair.
This product may also be applied to badly damaged areas of an existing turf as a repair or overseeding program however, our Lawn Repair With Ryegrass blend may be used to reinstate large gaps or areas of torn up grass in a less aggresive turf.

After initial establishment maintain a leaf length of 25- 50mm and feed well in the spring and autumn.
